A Treatise on Romantic Relations

It’s not that I do not grok another’s love for monogamy- kudos to them, for sure. It is simply that I have come to be an opponent of jealousy.

What man is so great, so selfishly insane that he might claim that a worthy lady should never again be with another man?

And what creature is this woman that expects to do so to any great man?

To limit love is a nasty action, one that leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Surely, these are weaker souls that submit to this servitude, this peaseantry under the opprressive hand oft called ‘love’…

Alas, they are not- even the strongest submit to each other, dominate over one another as if mere pets!

Oh, how strange it must be, to love someone, and then tell them how they are allowed to love!

Is it not possible to love many? Can not a person come to love more than one in a lifetime? And if so, what is the crime in this? How could we possibly be the only primates to have inherited such strange contracts, as if natural?

I know not with perfect certainty the thoughts of another, but I have heard whispers in private counsel-
It certainly does seem that everyone else is much like myself- once you love someone, this love does not go away!
And why should it?

Can not a man respectfully attend the funeral of their consort’s ex?
And why then must a man confine this respect to the dead?

The answer is simple- it is easier to allow the love of the dead, for they do not steal lovers away in the dead of night!

But alas, the greatest thief is the one that takes a man’s civility and common sense! If she left you, why not simply be glad that she has moved on to a happier situation? That, ladies, takes some very rare balls indeed!

The most curious love to many is the only love I find logical, the only love I find palatable! Free Love is the only true love,my friends.
If it isn’t free, it is a business partnership-no more, no less.
The aquasiblia know what I speak of!

Rules meant to be broken are lies waiting to happen- simplify your rules, make them mere guidelines and never be afraid to think outside the box, or to ditch it for a different box altogether.
